My Noom Journey!
Confidence is something I have never really lacked. I’m a Leo through and through, I thrive off attention!
I am a big believer that health isn’t a number on a scale. All bodies are different, and that’s what makes us unique and beautiful.
In 2019 I started on my own health journey. It wasn’t because I wanted to reach a certain number on the scale, or one of the many reason’s people fall into trying out every quick fix diet that pops up on our instagram feed.
I knew that I wasn’t taking care of myself, but I didn’t fully understand what that actually meant.
After witnessing a friend on her own health journey, when her father had a heart attack, it got me thinking, how was I treating my own body?
Inspired by her strength, I went out and got a Fitbit. I started tracking what I was putting into my body.
It was the first time I actually took a step back and started to understand how food can fuel the body, and not just eating for the sake of eating.
I also started using a wellness app my friends Steph and Laura designed, called Keep It Cleaner.
With my ever changing work schedule, I couldn’t find the time or energy for exercise. KIC taught me that I could fit in a workout, even if it was just 20 minutes a day.
Six months later I was the happiest and healthiest I had felt in years! Sounds great, right?
The one thing I didn’t realize on this journey of self discovery, was that I wouldn’t know how to maintain this healthy balance, when life threw me curve ball.
Hello my name is Blondie, and I am an emotional eater.
By the end of 2020 I was back to my old ways of mindless eating, with absolutely no motivation to get out there and move my body. I decided I needed a little inspiration to get myself out of the rut I found myself in.
